Troutfest
Typically occurring in late February, this festival celebrates the beloved local catch, trout. As the largest event of its kind in Texas, you can expect to find and mingle with fly-fishing and conservation enthusiasts! Head down to Lazy L&L Campground and enjoy a fundraising trout festival along the beautiful Guadalupe River. Guadalupe River Chapter of Trout Unlimited organizes this three-day event filled with keynote speakers, auctions, door prizes, and local food and drink.
Folkfest
Join New Braunfels residents at this event that’s all about celebrating the early Texans! Our city has a rich German heritage, dating back to our settlement by immigrants in 1845. We all strive to preserve, guard, and share our ample history with everyone. This festival takes place in late April, featuring living history displays, ein Kindermasken Parade & Ball, music, and more! It occurs in Heritage Village, with $10 admission for adults.
Hill Country Craft Beer Festival
Also occurring in April, this event gathers beer lovers together at Rockin’ R in Historic Gruene. You’ll discover new quality beers and have fun. General admission includes six samples of over 100 beers and parking. It’s important to note that this is a 21+ only event, so do not plan on visiting during a family outing. The Hill Country Craft Beer Festival can be summed up in a few words: 100+ beers, 20+ brewers, and one great day!
