The first festival in October takes place in the Gruene Historic District of New Braunfels and brings tasty spirits, craft brews, and fantastic tunes to the area. The Gruene Music and Wine Festival and Beer Event is an annual event that everyone in the area has looked forward to since the first event in 1986. This four-day festival brings people from all walks together for a variety of events, ranging from tastings to concerts. The festival steadily grows from year to year and adds new features like the Craft Market and additional tastings. Each year proceeds are donated to local charities like United Way and have historically been used for hurricane relief and other events to help out neighboring communities.
Another festival that takes place on the third Thursday of each month, excluding January, is the “Come and Taste It!” event at the Grapevine. Different vineyards are featured each week along with the opportunity to learn about the details of each wine during tastings.
